Blood and Water is a 4-piece alternative rock/ska band from the East Bay in California. Having joined together in 2004 through their local youth group, and a common love for Five Iron Frenzy, the band is fronted by the brothers Brad and Matt Hagmann, and backed by Jason Barnes and Matthew Trettin. Inspired by bands like The O.C. Supertones, Jimmy Eat World, Acceptance and Weezer, Blood and Water recently finished up their 2nd LP with Dove Award-winning Producer, Masaki Liu (Five Iron Frenzy, The W's, Matisyahu).
The band has also had the opportunity to share the stage with such artists as Hawk Nelson, Lincoln Brewster, No Use For A Name, We Shot The Moon, The Wedding, Stellar Kart, The Audition, The Classic Crime, and Showbread, as well as performing at prominent music festivals along the West Coast. The band has experienced some small success independently with the singles from their previous release, as well as the addition of their recent music video the Gospel Music Channel playlist. With the release of their new album this Summer, along the radio support and promotional backing of Eden Records: Blood and Water is poised for a breakthrough.
Blood and Water is currently signed to the SF-based Indie label, Eden Records, and is endorsed by/affiliated with C28/Not Of This World Clothing, Viper Drums, Indie Vision Music and TOMS Shoes. The band also did a recent photo-shoot with acclaimed photographer, Ryan Russell (Paramore, Foo Fighters, Death Cab For Cutie).
