Today it seems there is a large emphasis on whether music is “Christian” or not. What makes that music Christian? Or maybe it’s what would make it not Christian. Either way, the distinction exists so prominently that you could find one concert that includes a rapper, a dance pop artist, and a southern rock band… just because they are all Christian. The plus side is that this makes the show enjoyable for the whole family. However, does this mean that the artist itself receives less respect for his or her artistry and more just for sharing a similar worldview as the listener?

Wow, what a whirlwind!  So much going on!  We signed a new band, News From Verona, out of Indy.  They spent the month of October playing shows with The Higher and Blood and Water in Cali.  We spent a couple days in the studio with them.  Their trip ends today as JoshuaFest winds down.

The Eden staff is hitting the road for the week (blogging this at 35K feet on Virgin).  We’ll be in DC and NYC early this week.  Thursday we hit Nashville for some serious industry schmoozing through the weekend.
